Tips & Tricks - How To Fix Disabled Start Menu Personalisation



Hello Guys,
Recently i ran into this problem that i was not enabled to personalise my start menu so i trioed this trick and it worked as a Charm for me.

The Trick is

1. Create a new account from  by going to
→Settings
→ Family & Other Users
→Add Someone else to this PC
→ Make this New Account Administrator.

OR 

Create a new account by CMD
→run cmd as administrator and execute this command net user /add test (test is the account name)
→then execute this command to make this account administrator net localgroup administrators test /add .

2.Now,
→Sign out from your original account
→Sign in to the new account and wait until your account created and finished login
→Now, sign out again from the new account also and sign in to your original account.

3. Enable show hidden files In your original account
→Now, go to C:\users\<new account created>\AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\Database\ and copy file vedatamodel.edb and pace it in a new folder in C:\anyName
→sign out from your original account and then sign in to the new account
→Now, go to c:\anyName\ and copy vedatamodel.edb then go to (C:\users\<original account>\AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\Database\)
rename old vedatamodel.edb to any name then paste copied here.

5. OK now sign out and go to your original account and you will see that all options enabled.

Enjoy! You have Successfully fixed the problem. Yeah!!!!!
